You are doing great things

You are doing great things

There was definitely a moment when I thought it wouldn’t happen.

I was standing in my closet at the end of the day.

Another day had passed.

I hadn’t launched.

It was a day I thought I would have finally sent all I had been working on out into the world.

I was trying to be grateful.

Instead, I felt discouraged, frustrated.

I told myself the words I needed to hear.

The ones I keep saying.

It’s all going to work out.

Showing up is 90% of the battle.

You’re staying when other people would leave.

Seeing it to the end.

Take a break when you need one, not so you can be distracted but so you can be fresh again.

Sleep, go to bed early, because you know you need the energy.

Don’t stay up late as a reward for a job well done.

You are doing work that matters.

You have done great things today.

You are closer than you were yesterday.

Keep going.

I sounded like a broken record to myself.

This record is better than the one I could be playing, though.

The one that says opposite things or things that belittle and discount the work and effort I’m making.

Most often, the one who needs to be giving us the pep talk is ourselves.

What pep talk are you giving yourself today?

What could you say that is different from the words you may be tempted to say?

What could you acknowledge about who you are? The way you’re showing up? What you made happen today?

Start with something like: You have done great things today.Because you have. No matter what today looks like, you showed up. Showing up is 90% of the work.

It’s true.

You have done great things today.

To all the good you’re doing,
