12 Conversations

12 Conversations

Try to have 12 real conversations a day.

I’m reading Bob Goff’s book, Dream Big.

He said, “Try to have 12 real conversations a day.”

My first response to this is, “Uh, ya right. I don’t even see 12 people in a day, these days.”

My brain’s first reaction is to tell me how impossible this is.

It tells me, “Easy for Bob Goff to say, he knows millions of people, he has best selling books, he knows Donald Miller.”

My brain keeps trying to tell me all the reasons it’s easier for someone else than it is for me to have 12 real conversations a day.

Conversations which go beyond:

“How are you?” to “How are you really?”

“What is your career?” to “What do you want in life?”

Does 12 real conversations a day seem like a lot to you, too?

Maybe, how challenging it seems is exactly the reason to do it.

What are some questions you wish you were brave enough to ask people?

What would you really like to know about someone beyond, “How are you?”
